On Monday 10 October, Ambassador Tone Tinnes presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Htin Kyaw. The credential ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw. The Ambassador also met with State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Read more

On September 20 and 21, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Yangon jointly organized a seminar for civil society organizations (CSOs) receiving Norwegian funding, as well as their partners. More than 80 people representing over 30 different CSOs attended the event. Read more

Earlier this week, Norwegian ambassador Ann Ollestad opened a conference on the establishment of a national sovereign wealth fund for Myanmar.
